Liberty Street Garden was created through a partnership between The Meadows Foundation, New Friends New Life, and Bonton Farms to provide employment opportunities for NFNL program members. Volunteers are needed throughout the year to help plant the garden beds, plant crops, and perform other garden tasks such as mulching, weeding, etc.

The Human Impact: Streets Time

Join The Human Impact staff and a group of housed and unhoused friends as we walk the streets near our offices, south of Downtown Dallas, to make connections, build trust, and learn about the experiences of our friends on the streets. You don’t need to bring anything but yourself. If you look someone in the eye who you might have looked away from before, if you learn someone’s name, if you get or give a smile, then you’ve accomplished all that we ask of our streets time volunteers!

The Human Impact: Worship Night
6:00 – 7:30 pm
Join The Human Impact as we gather to worship, break into small groups for conversation, and share a few testimonies. If you’ve been before, you know what a special experience it can be. It is a beautiful mix of housed and unhoused folks, old and young, quiet and boisterous, people from all walks of life…together for the sole purpose of worshiping God and learning something new about him through the eyes of those that are gathered together. We have had children, as well as friends experiencing homelessness and friends who aren’t, share about their faith, their struggles, and the faithfulness of our God. There is space for everyone and room for every voice, and all are welcome!

NFNL: Trunk-or-Treat
5:00 pm – 6:45 pm
New Friends New Life has invited us to volunteer at their Trunk-or-Treat this year! The event will take place in the back parking lot of the NFNL building and is open to NFNL members and their children or grandchildren.
Pro tip: If you are participating in PRCC’s trunk-or-treat on the 26th, you could reuse your trunk decor for this event just four days after the Fall Festival!

Earl Young’s Team: Thank You Note Writing
11:30 am – 1:00 pm
We will be writing thank you notes to recent donors to Earl Young’s Team following their annual breakfast. Note cards, pens, message templates, stamps, and light snacks will be provided! This will take place in the Summit at Preston Road. All are welcome to participate (especially if you have good handwriting)! No need to RSVP.
