Dallas West Church of Christ: Food Distribution

We are thrilled to get to work with our friends at Dallas West Church of Christ to help them distribute food to those in need.

NFNL: Liberty Street Garden
10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Liberty Street Garden was created through a partnership between The Meadows Foundation, New Friends New Life, and Bonton Farms to provide employment opportunities for NFNL program members. Volunteers are needed throughout the year to help plant the garden beds, plant crops, and perform other garden tasks such as mulching, weeding, etc.

The Human Impact: Streets Time
10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Join The Human Impact staff and a group of housed and unhoused friends to walk the streets near their offices, south of Downtown Dallas, to make connections, build trust, and learn about the experiences of their friends on the streets. You don’t need to bring anything but yourself. If you look someone in the eye who you might have looked away from before, if you learn someone’s name, if you get or give a smile, then you’ve accomplished all that we ask of our streets time volunteers!

The Human Impact: Family Streets Time
9:30 – 11:00 am
Join The Human Impact staff and a group of housed and unhoused friends to walk the streets near their offices, south of Downtown Dallas, to make connections, build trust, and learn about the experiences of their friends on the streets. This specific event is designed for your entire family! The Human Impact staff will spend some time before the walk prepping you and your kids. Then there will be a time to debrief as a family after. You don’t need to bring anything but yourself. If you look someone in the eye who you might have looked away from before, if you learn someone’s name, if you get or give a smile, then you’ve accomplished all that we ask of our streets time volunteers!

Join The Human Impact staff on Saturday, November 15 for their Friendsgiving Come to the Table Meal. Come to the table and join friends, staff, and volunteers for a beautiful meal centered around sharing love, friendship and gratitude!

We are collecting canned goods for our very own Christ’s Family Clinic Sunday, Nov 16, and Sunday, Nov 23.
Please drop them off in the collection bin in the Commons or bring them by the office!

6:00 – 7:30 pm
The Human Impact invites you to join them for a night of worship! If you’ve joined before, you know what a special experience it can be. It is a beautiful mix of housed and unhoused folks, old and young, quiet and boisterous, people from all walks of life…together for the sole purpose of worshiping God and learning something new about him through the eyes of those that are gathered together
