Jim Barnett
Jim and his wife, Laurie, have attended Preston Road since 1992. Prior to joining our staff in 2003, he served as the Vice President of Datebook Publishing. He attended Abilene Christian University, where he received a degree in Business Administration. He remains on the Board and is past President of Campus for Christ (national organization of Church of Christ Campus Ministers), is a member of the Board of Trustees for Dallas Christian School, on the Board of the Christian Relief Fund, and is a Board Member of the Men’s Advocacy Group of New Friends New Life as well as the Dallas Housing Crisis Center. He is also the Chairman of the Campus Ministry Council at SMU and helps lead a ministry for Fathers and their High School sons called LEAD’em Ministry in Rockwall. His passion is helping young adults find purpose and significance in life through a relationship with Jesus Christ, and helping Fathers be the men and leaders that their children need them to be.
Jim and Laurie have two children: a daughter Kennedy, and a son, Jensen.
